I think maybe half of them will. I expect the city to have about 90,000 of its original 400,000 when they all come back. It's sad, the city will pretty much be a ghost town. The French Quarter will probably still be visited.

  1. i think they will realize that they shouldn't live there put there house up for sale and it will have a very trouble time selling so they will have to keep it and still pay for it but live in like Missouri and live in an appartment because they cant afford to pay for two houses

  2. I agree. People need to realize that living in a giant fishbowl definitely isn't the best idea.

    But it's really sad, because they haven't even recovered from Katrina, and yet they're being hit by another one. I bet a lot of people will find a safer place to live.

  3. Unless you've lived in N.O., you just don't get it!!!! We'll always go back. There's no place else like it!!!!!!

  4. it depends on the storm  the more damage less will come back

  5. I dunno. Did you see that lady balling on the news? ;_;

  6. Yeah, you're right. It'll become a ghost town soon if it continues being rampaged by hurricanes. It still hasn't even recovered from Hurricane Katrina! It's horrible!!!!

    Maybe SOME of them will come back, as for the others, they'll probably move to a safer location. Start all over again. =(

  7. Probably everyone will return starting Wednesday.

    Actually, the metro area has a population of between 1,250,000 and 1,300,000 right now.  The population at the time Katrina struck was right at 1,400,000.

    New Orleans was recently listed as the "fastest growing city in America", but the population increase was just people returning - not really growth.
