  1. They do now.

  2. i dont think so...

  3. no

  4. Automobile license plates or driver's licenses?

    No.

  5. The rules of the road are the same, regardless of what you drive, so no.

  6. They should have to get new licenses for their giant SUVs that they don't know how to drive or park!

  7. No because for the most part they function the same way.

Model-Ts are nothing like today's cars, but you can drive them with your same car-class license.

  8. licence will be the same for the automobiles but the additional training about the cars are required.

  9. No They had electric cars briefly in CA when I was there--I never heard of any owner needing to get a new license for one.  It's more about the 'rules of the road' and your competence driving a certain class vehicle.

Also, my son didn't need a special license to drive his gilrfriend's recently-purchased hybrid car.

  10. A few upcling EVs will be three-wheeled vehicles classified as motorcycles, so people may need to get motocycle class licenses to drive them.  For example:

However, most EVs and all plug-in hybrids will be regular four-wheeled vehicles which drive just like regular cars, so no new licenses will be required.

  11. Not sure why they would need to.  A car is a car.  The rules are the same no matter what kind of car you drive.  Now if you drive 18 wheelers and such sure you need a new licence because they have different rules.
