  1. Everyone deserves a place in heaven. No matter good or bad, short, tall, fat, skinny, good or evil or even handicapped. After life, everyone goes to a place where it's heaven within.

  2. No, no one goes to heaven.  There is no tooth fairy or easter bunny either.

  3. you;ll find out some day

  4. Grammar Police, well done. Don't let them off too lightly. It's a cruel linguistic world we live in.

  5. Their family can pray to the Lord for them. The Lord doesnt disciminate! lol Of course they will go to heaven.

  6. Another Great question a true bible reader will tell you we are all born in sin and have to do different things to get to heaven but I like the second part its like the one I cant get a strait answer to as well why would god create a person he knows is not going to be a christian and send him to h**l i have yet gotten a Christian to answer that question so good luck

  7. The mentally handicapped have a free pass.

  8. Technically you have to be "mentally handicapped" to get there ... of course, it doesn't really exist so use of the word 'technically' is technically incorrect, huh?

  9. 1. I suffer from mental illness, I am not mentally handicapped.

    2. My illness is the result of Post Traumatic Stress and Bipolar Disorder.

    3. I can understand and read better than most people who are do not have mental illness.

    4. I can comprehend the Christian faith and the belief in Jesus. I chose not to because I am proud to be Jewish. Mental illness is not limited to any one religion. Anyone can have it, including you.

    5. As far as Heaven is concerned every religion has a different view on that subject and I will not discuss this topic here.

    6. G-d did not create them like that. People are born or developemental issues.

    7. Just because you have a menal illness you wont turn into Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dommer, or any other serial killer. Your life will be h**l with mood swings, panic and anxiety attacks, nightmares, sleeplessness, fear of people and things.

8,.You need more help then the Grammar Police. You need to learn about the lives of people who have mental issues. I suggest to go to the VA hospital near you and learn.

EDIT: I have been informed that I did misunderstand part of the question. A severely mentally handicapped person, basically a person without the ability to think or realize reality, should and would be an automatic entry into heaven. There is no test that they would have to pass. They have no sin or have done nothing wrong. If G-d is as fair as I think he is than all of his children deserve heaven.

  10. Yes, I'm LDS.  Our prophets have told us that mental incompetents and little children all go automatically to heaven, as if they are not capable of moral reasoning, then neither are they capable of sin.

  11. Yes. A person that can not comprehend God due to a reason that is beyond their control is similar to a young child that can not comprehend God due to their age. In both cases God will welcome them with open arms.  +?+

  12. The mentally handicapped who are too far gone to make a decision, along with others who never get to decide (dead babies, ancient folk who never heard the message, etc) will get to make a choice at the second Judgment. the first Judgment is only for those who did choose Jesus while they were alive. It's all spelled out, clear as a bell, in Revelations.

  13. From all evidence presented so far, I think the mentally handicapped are the ONLY ones going if there really is a heaven.

  14. Great question.

Also another thing, when Christians say that they won't be handicapped in heaven, isn't this suggesting that their condition was not intended by God (a mistake)?

  15. Yes they will. This also applies to people who have never heard of Jesus, the Bible ,salvation, heaven and h**l.

  16. Please capitalize Jesus, as it is a proper noun. Also, remember to use correct punctuation!

I will let you off with a warning. Don't let it happen again!

  17. Absolutely yes. People who can't understand and make fully alert decisions are not held accountable like those of us who have full mental capability. Sin is why people are born with birth defects and sicknesses. God doesn't afflict people and make them be born that way on purpose. He helps people when they have troubles of any kind.

Sin caused things to go wrong on this earth and there have been all sorts of problems that came from sin. Jesus came to give us a way out of the control of sin.

God loves us and He is good and merciful toward us. I believe in Heaven we may discover the mentally handicapped are set free to be who they could have been if healthy on earth, minus the meanness that they would have picked up from us on earth.

All of us have problems and we all need God to help us in so many ways. He loves us and will help us if we ask Him. Jesus came because we need a Savior.

  19. God judges those who never heard the Gospel (or were not capable of understanding it) by what they did understand and how they acted in light of what they did know and by grace he saves those who WOULD have accepted Jesus had they known about him and been capable of understanding his Gospel.

The mentally handicapped will therefore not be disadvantaged as far as getting into heaven is concerned.

It is debatable that God deliberately created someone with a handicap, rather it would be more accurate to say he permitted it to happen due to us living in a real world in which our actions and/or  the actions of others have real world consequences including brain damage and mental problems.

That's not to say it was self-inflicted by the sufferer, it could for example be due to man's pollution of the planet causing genetic damage in innocent victims, it might be due to an accident caused by someone's carelessness or it might be due to the sufferers parents or grandparents smoking or abuse of drugs or alcohol, or simply poor nutrition, or it might be completle random.

The point is God will treat them fairly and justly when he judges them,  he will make allowance for their diminished mental capacity and he will restore them to perfect health.
