    It's a case of "supply and demand". Remember that in your Economic 101?

    The only way fuel consumption will be reduced is when people move to vehicles that use "an alternative" fuel such as solar or better hybrids.

    Americans are spoiled.


  2. No. Additional taxes will cause a corresponding increase in government spending, that's about it.

  3. Nope, and to think, in Michigan there is already about 20 cents tax on the gallon, and Govenor Grandstand wants another 19 cents, to improve our roads.  Mich. has the worst roads in the nation.  and I don't see any improvement if she does get another 19 cents.

  4. One of the reasons for the high fuel price now are the amount of taxes and so far it's done nothing but p*ss everyone off.

  5. No, it will only hurt an already hurting U.S economy. More money out of my pocket only hurts my pocket. My income won't rise but my expenses will. It's time we tell the government to shove it.
