Will playing basketball help me lose weight ?

I'm 4'10" 250 lbs i need to get down to 200 lbs.I need help.

  2. To me personally yes. Why? during basketball practice i push my self to be faster, stronger, and better then other players. To me, its all about heart and how you committed to go hard to get in shape and lose weight.

    To motivate you, a 6'7'' weight around 280 bball player at my school. His not the type of bball player you will you at him to be in the nba. he was big and slow. at the end of the season he lost 40 pounds or more. he now became fast and strong

  4. Basketball is more like cardio workout if you run hard up and down the court to get your heart rate up to 60% - 80% of your max heart rate.  For the best weight loss result, you also need to do weight lifting. Also do weight lifting BEFORE your cardio workout.  

  5. Ummmm yes it will.. I got down when I was in high school I was 6'4 275 I ate right played ball everyday and ran a lot and I got down to 210 in about 4 months
