Will post office mail it back?

i mailed a guitar to ky form cali accidentally to the wrong address.will they mail it back to me?

If you sent it to the wrong address it should not get delivered to that address, unless the letter carrier is not familiar with the rseidents of that address.

It may be possible to call 1-800-ask-usps (if you are in the US, your question is somewhat unclear) and ask them to notify the receiving post office. They may be able to stop delivery, though that is not a certainty.

As long as it is a deliverable address, they will take it there, and you cannot correct that.  The person who lives there would have to return it to you, and you will have to pay the postage.  If i is not a valid address (ie: no house there, or nobody lives there)... and you used a return address... the post office will return it to you.  The person who lives there might also refuse the shipment, in which case it would be returned to you.
