I have an infocus lp340....I Thought I still had time left on the lamp, but yesterday out of the blue it just quit working. I was going to buy a new lamp, but since the whole unit does not come on at all not sure if I should. Does anyone know if the unit still turns on even though the lamp is bad?

Does anyone know if that cvould be the bulb, or did my system possibly burn up? Does anyone know if there is a built in fuse or circuit breaker?

  1. Since projectors differ I'd suggest giving InFocus support a call and ask. That way you'll get an authoritative answer that will help you decide on your next step.

You could also try AVS Forum and see if there is an Owners Thread for your projector ... then ask there. The link is to a listing of InFocus related threads.

  2. I've lost several bulbs over the years on 3 different projectors and all 3 began going dark before expiring completely, but they I never had a bulb cause the pj not to come on.

Check the circuit breaker you're powering on and also try unplugging the pj for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.  If that doesn't work then it could be a bad power supply and a call to Infocus is in order.
