Will putting rubbing alchohol in a spray bottle kill bugs?

  1. It will kill most of the little ones...but even liquid soap and water in a spray bottle will kill some bugs.


  2. The following concoctions will kill common bugs and fungus on contact and is safe for you and your plants:

    Recipe #1:

    10 drops dishsoap

    1.8 ml cinnamon extract (about 1/2 tsp.)

    2 cups tepid water

    Recipe #2:

    1 part 70% rubbing alcohol

    3 parts water

    1 tablespoon liquid dish soap (e.g. Dr Bronner's)

  3. Why not just use soapy water?  It's cheaper, safer and more reliable.  Alcohol can damage some plants.
