  1. Some will be open. It will depend on where you want to go. The local Mom & Pop shops near me are closed. Designated tourist areas will definitely be open.


  2. My friend the "The Muse" is right, and the tourist and ethnic area's, like Chinatown Spadina and east at Gerrard and Broadview, Greektown along the Danforth, the fast food places, like McD, Wendys and Burger King.

    I worked as a chef downtown for many years in the hotels and there restaurants and patios are open as the guest need feeding. Check around places like Harbourfront, Ontario Place are always going on holidays, KFC is busy those days, I prefer Popeye's F.Ch and Biscuits myself now when I have that craving.

    As for full, No, they will have peek period rushes, we always did and slow down in the mid afternoon and early evening, maybe plan a later meal.
