My toilet is clogged and i wanted to know if putting riddex in the toilet will harm the glaze on the porcelain toilet bowl. Will it corrode it off or eat it off or harm it in any way?

  1. No it wont hurt it, riddex is nothing but bacteria that helps your septic tank break down the wastes.

Sounds more like you need drano~

  2. No.  I used to use Riddex all the time when I had a cesspool/septic tank in my other house.  It's just a bacteria type of thing that eats up stuff to help keep pipes clear.  I lived there for 10 years and used it all the time and never had a problem with anything happening to my toilet bowl.

If your toilet is clogged though, you really need to use a plunger on it or, unfortunately, if that doesn't work, you need to call someone like Roto Rooter or a plumber who can snake your line to unclog it if good, hard, repeated plunging doesn't help.  Riddex is for maintenance, more or less.  Not to get rid of a currently clogged toilet.
