Will riding a snowboard in the dunes scratch up ur board a lot?

   yeah, it will tear your board to pieces
   
   any finish you have on the bottom will be torn off
   
   take a sheet of sandpaper to your board for a few minutes, thats what it will look like after your done

   It will not only scratch it, it will chew away the plastic base and grind down the edges - you only want to use a board that you don't care about ruining.
