Will rock band 1 instruments work with Rb2?

Question

I'm waiting for rock band 2 to come out but i don't want to buy a whole new bundle i already have instruments for rock band 1 i need to know if they will work with rock band 2

yes they will work just fine. dont worry.

the new instruments will have better features, but lucky for us the old ones will still work. The new features include a better drum kit, with pressure sensitive pads, or they tell how hard you actually hit them, and i read something about a wierd mike in the guitar that has some use.

But in short, yes, your old instruments will still work
