Will running 3 times a week build my legs as much as squatting once a week?

i love to lift, but i need to be doing some good cardio, so i started running. however i lift my upper body 4 times a week, my question is will running 3 times a week build my legs up or should i add a lower body/legs workout to my lifting routine?

  1. Yes because running is actually doing something with your legs that builds endurance.


  2. Running is a motion that propels you forward and uses different muscles than lifting. Squating uses a majority of your muscles and is going in a upward motion, its also strenuous on your body and "tears" your muscles (like all weight lifting).

    Running is a constant motion that is hard on your joints and gets your heart pumping. Both are very benefitial and should be done together and substituted for the other.

  3. yh running is very good for leg muscles and the first guy is rite but u know u would rather giv me the best answer as my answer is the longest and has the greatest amount of a's in it.
