  1. running is a cardio...you also must do toning exercises like weight lifting and pilates/yoga...how fast is something only your body can tell!!

  3. weight lifting about 20-30 minutes every other day is excellent. As for running after about 20 minutes of running or any cardio your body will choose to use muscle for energy instead of fat. try this: 1 minute of running as hard as you can and one minute of rest, do this 5 times. This type of training (called HIT training) actually burns more calories than an hour of steady running. Cutting carbs is also a great way to loose weight. Carbs are what your body uses for energy throughout the day, by cutting them out your body is forced to use fat for energy. Check out the TNT diet.

  4. Yeah it will. Consider getting a dog, that helped me lose weight, haha.

  5. Of course! Running two miles is more than enough. You'll gain a lot of calve and thigh muscle. It also helps to lose stomach fat. Eating healthy is always a good way to shed pounds, lay off of junk food. Drink tons of water, and green tea (cleans out your system).

  6. Oh, I hope so! I just started running in July and in just two months I can now run 2 miles. I haven't noticed much change in my body though, but I'm only running about 3 times a week. Two miles everyday hurts my body at this point.

Check out my blog on how I got started:

  7. Balancing running for 2 miles as aerobic exercise along with other forms of exercise (such as weight lifting, and working your core muscles) will not only help you lose weight, but also to tone your muscle.

Eating healthy is definitely a benefit both health and weight-wise, as long as you make sure you're doing it right. Eat most of your food during breakfast, and the least amount of food during dinner. Also refrain from eating any less than 3 hours before you sleep.

Also, make sure you sleep 8-10 hours a night, and drink plenty of water. Though you don't always think about it, water helps to clean out your system, and the amount of sleep you get can very much affect your weight.

Also, try to stay active. Just because you run two miles a day doesn't mean that it's healthy to sit for the rest of the day.
