Will running the car air vent waste gas (not running A/C, just having the air fan on)?

  1. No, only when you switch on the AC unit will there be circulation of gas.

    To check this,

    open the bonnet of the car ( apply hand breaks)

    start the vehicle

    switch on the blowers

    check if there are any bubbles in the gas cylinder - near engine ( there will not be any)

    Switch on the AC unit ( now you fund bubbles in the cylinder - which shows that the gas is being circulated)


  2. Not by comparison to A/C.  The air fan is electrical off the battery/alternator
