Stewart will probably insist that Chevrolet hire him. Ryan is the Buddy Baker of the modern NASCAR, a driver may think about mouthing off to him but that is as far as it gets. Tony learned that a long time ago and decided it was better to be friends.

I think he does go to Stewart/Haas if Martin Truex Jr doesn't go there first.

I would be more than happy to honor the Jr Nation as they are some of the best fans in Nascar. Most of my friends are Jr Nation members and I am glad to have them as friends. Hats off to Jr Nation! Dale Jr getting the monkey off his back this year has to be the best.

I would like to see that because they are close friends and it would be a good move for Newman.  I really don't think that Smoke will have any trouble finding a driver. Super Dave has a good point about Truex too.

My favorite moment about Junior is him winning the All Star Race in 2000 also. I have a great picture a friend of mine took in Victory Lane of Junior and his Daddy. Winter Glory has good taste!

Yep, I agree with superdave. I think Newman will go IF Truex doesn’t.

To Jr. Nation: I know there are a lot of good Jr. fans out there, unfortunately I have came across more bad ones than good over the past few years. I just find it hard to honor the whole nation when there are quite a few of them think that me and my fave driver are trash just because I’m not crazy about Jr. Sorry! So, to that, I will honor the few nice and rational Jr. fans that I know are out there! Now I will sit back and watch the thumbs down rain down upon me lol.

Oh and I guess my most memorable, and probably one of his best moments of his career was his 500 win, which happens to be one of the very first races I ever watched :)

I think he will, so far all rumors have been true.They said Mark Martin will join Hendrick....true, they said Tony will leave JGR and join Haas in some form.....true. I am placing money on Ryan joining Stewart-Haas in 09

Newman's currently the obvious choice to go to Stewart-Haas.

Plus, the #66 car is now within 13 points of the Top 35 in the owner standings, so Newman will get a guaranteed spot.
