  1. Probably.  If you have fish or plants in the pond, it'll kill them too.

  2. I dose my rain water barrels with bug killer, approx the label directions or less. The water is useful for garden watering without damage. By the way, during every growing season my downspouts spill into plastic water barrels, the soft drink tubs used at parties. They are modified with top and bottom spouts. The top spouts are overflows and they connect with hoses, and they are directed to water loving plants. The bottom spout is for draining at the end of growing season.

There are mosquito floats available that are meant to kill them. Use bug killer instead.

  3. Salt will kill everything, to include other plants and animals.  Plant fertilizer is basically salts in lower concentrations, but too much will kill.

Why not try dunks instead?  See link below

  4. and believe it or not

    Listerine will also kill them

  5. Hello ,

Use  " Mosquitoe Dunks  " instead of killing the larvae,it sterilizes it .

The larvae provides food for the fish and frogs.

You can buy the dunks at Home Depot and Lowes, each dunk, lasts for one month.

  6. A drop of vegetable oil works wonders and won't harm anything else.
