  1. They will generally grow but most artificial lights don't have the full spectra of sunlight that may be needed for photosynthesis.  That is about all I know.  I hope it helps


  2. I don't think they will. Their are special types of light bulbs for plants. If they do grow they wont grow well. Ask in a flower shop or even in a hard wear store {they sell light bulbs in the ones I go to so they might have those light bulbs and they also sell flowers in it}. Go on google and look up something like "light bulbs for plants". I'm not sure but my mom keeps plants alive with normal light bulbs and gives them enough water and they survive but their leaves get droopy  alittle brown etc. I think its because it doesn't have the light needed for photosynthesis.

  3. I read once somewhere. Though I don't remember where.

    That light pulsed at 10 cycles per second will actually grow plants at a third faster than just normal 12 hour day light/night cycles.

    It depends what you're growing as to what type of light to use but the UV in florescent light is the more effective.
