  1. For the Americans living near or below the average income line, it probably won't cost any more. If you make more than that....you'll definitely get hit hard in the pockets......just ask anyone in a country that has socialized heath care.

I think the socialized health insurance will cost us more in lives than we realize. I was listening to the radio the other day and heard the story of a little girl in Canada. She had something wrong with her hearing and needed to see a specialist. They kept rescheduling her(approx 1 year 2 months) until she could no longer hear in that ear. She went to a medical broker that contracts surgeries with U.S. doctors and saw one 2 days later. She ended up losing 100% of the hearing in one ear and 75% in the other. A few more weeks and little girl woud've been dead.

This is NOT the kind of system we need in the U.S. We have the best heath care in the world....we just need to tweek the way insurance is done.

  2. I just recently spoke to a friend in Germany where they have a socialized medical system.  Their taxes just rose to 60% - I think it will cost more.  Her husband needed bypass surgery and had to wait 8 months for the operation.  The rich can afford to go elsewhere to receive surgery but the rest pay their 60% and wait.

In the end - nothing is free and it will cost more

  3. Even if she becomes president, "Hillary's insurance" has to make it through Congress.  What emerges may be far different than what is proposed.
