Will she ever stop hair pulling?

my daughter who is 4 has pulled her hair out (and tickles her face with it) since she was 18 months, anyone come across this b4? x

I think children generally like playing with their hair. When I was little I liked putting my hair in my mouth as a pacifier until my mother took me to the hairdressers for a boy's cut. If your daughter's problem persists a short cut would be the best way to stop hair. Probably by the time the hair grows again she will have grown out of it but otherwise it will be difficult for her to stop.

there is a condition called Trichotillomania that consists of an urge to pull out your hair so apparently this is common. I would advise you to have her hair cut before this becomes an obsession.

Maybe she won't ever stop. Maybe she will still be doing it when she's 60.

hello my name is georgina i am 30 years old when i was a child i all ways pulled my hair out it stop when i was 16 years but even now when i am depressed i will pull my hair out and if i have some think on my mind i will do that as well also as a child i mad my grandad go bold and my nan at to use a hair net but some children and adults are diffent
