Will shops in Oxford Street (London) be open on the 2nd of January?

Or is it a bad time to go clothes shopping? Are there going to be too many people? And are the clothes now really bad as my mum says?

Yes it is open on the 2nd. The clothes are ok, it just depends on what you like. A lot of the high street stores to me are over priced anyway. If you are going take protective armour with you as you will be getting pushed, shoved and trampled on in every direction. I would not advise going to Oxford Street during any sales, it is busy at the best of times. When there are sales on the vultures come out to play. Good Luck and Happy New Year. : )
