  1. my friend now dead died when he got his first cigarette. the smoke went into his lungs. he then got bronchnartius not bronchiatus. bronchnartius (not sure if spelled right) was tightness of the lung. He couldn't breathe and he died.

  2. If you smoke right before a race yes, otherwise no, as long as it's just one.

  3. Don't do it again!! This is not a small issue. Smoking is not funny it's not a game.

  4. Many athletes smoke, and get paid millions of dollars still. So it must not effect them. One won't effect you.

  5. no but if u want 2 be succesful in running dont smoke!

  6. it's never just ONE cigarette...

  7. If you give in to the cigarette, it means you are a weak person. Weak people don't run cross country. Don't give in. Run strong.

  8. Possibly if you get addicted to the nicatine which is very easy, even if you think you are mentlly strong enough to get addicted just don't try it.... I mean honestly all you are going to smoke is one cigarette.. Its pointless and its bad for your health

  9. Try this:

Grab a white handkerchief - or even a white t-shirt or underwear.

Get a GOOD drag off of a lit ciggie and DON'T inhale it - hold it in your mouth.

Blow the mouthful of THROUGH the fabric (hankie, shirt, undies) by holding the fabric against your lips so you can be sure the smoke goes through.

Look at the location you blew through.

Decide for yourself.  What you see WAS going to be deposited in your lungs.

  10. One smoke leads to another.

  11. 1? probably not.

but if you turn that into a habit then yeah!

so put the cig. down and focus on your running!

    good luck dude!
