Question:

Will socialists ever take responsibility for their actions?

As our failing socialist labour government sinks beyond the point of no return, I see the lefies amongst us are trying to disown the (enevitable and completely predictable) result of their philosophy.

The lefies automatically label their failures as 'tory' - and try to shift the blame -- isn't it about time they grew up and honestly confronted the truth that they keep denying...

Socailism Doesn't Work, it has never worked, it can never work - and worst of all it is very difficult to get rid of, because noone is truely accountable.

  1. No but then neither will the other lot.

  2. No!

  3. Look at it this way... despite failure after failure after failure and indisputable empirical evidence that collectivism is a failure, the collectivists still insist that failure is due simply to "the wrong people being in charge".  Quite the bankrupt argument, says me.

Edit:  LOL!!  I post my answer and right above me is a socialist who insists it's all about "the right people".  One trick ponies, all of 'em.

  4. No - they'll just blame everyone else as they always do!

  5. It depends if you consider a government who is doubling the lowest rate of income tax to be socialist

  6. In response, probably about the same time capitalists take responsibility for their actions.  And when might that be, do you think?

Taxpayers have spent millions and millions of dollars cleaning up the mess that corporations leave in their wake after massive extraction of natural resources.

Child labour, bribery, fraud and embezzlement, sweat shops, environmental pollution, faulty products . . . Need I go on?

And, by the way, socialism in all its myriad forms seems to be working fine in a number of countries around the world.  However, the idea of unregulated free-market capitalism has never really worked like people say it does.  When are you going to wake up and realize that the failures of right-wing social and fiscal conservatives around the world to address serious social and economic issues isn't the fault of their leftist counterparts?

I've said it before, I'll say it again.  A wise friend of mine once said, "Communism breeds laziness."  To this I add, "And capitalism breeds exploitation."  Socialists are just trying to carve a middle path that addresses issues of human rights, the environment and a whole heap of social, political and economic issues.

  7. Sorry but this present government left socialism and all the good parts thereof behind them many years ago. Probably when the non Scot Blair gained ascendancy in the New Labour Party - whatever that is.

  8. Oh--was this a fairy tale book you read over the weekend?  Do you realize that all the countries who have universal Health care are DEMOCRATIC?????

Maybe you just woke-up from a dream, they tend to be full of fiction.

  9. Here's the truth of the matter.

Labour is a traditionally leftist party, ie liberal.  The Tories are traditionally more rightist or conservative.  What we have seen in recent times in that both parties have shifted to a more central standpoint, ie they have become more what the other party stood for, that is to say that the Labour party has become more conservative and the Tories have become more liberal.

So when a socialist/labour party supporter says that Labour's failures are 'tory', they are infact telling the truth.  Most if not all of Labour's current problems stem from having adopted certain Tory principles and ideas.

Also, Socialism does work, without it we wouldn't have a decent health-care system, our education system would be terrible.  Socialism has given us all of these things.  The Tory party, would, I have no doubt, get rid of the NHS if David 'Man-of-the-people' Cameron had his way.

  10. socialism is fine and it does! work. new labour are not socialists. they are extreme right wing conservative. they have sabotaged the country as well as the socialist ideal. take away mass immigration, the illegal war. the liars that make up the sham labour party. the huge amounts of money fiddled embezzled or just plain stolen from the tax payer, take away the huge payments to the EU and to other worthless non causes that labour give Billions of our taxes to, and things would be fine!! in Britain. new labour are traitors to the country and its people. they are not! a socialist party and should not be judged as one, and frankly! if they all took full responsibilities for their individual actions, the majority of the labour party would be languishing in her majesties prison. and Tony Blair would be hanging from the same rope as Saddam.

  11. Have you noticed how Gordon Brown took plaudits for a growing economy but takes no responsibility for a declining one.

  12. In a word - no.

  13. Socialism can work if you have the right people implementing it. If you think this lot of snout in the trough get what you can while you can bandits are a socialist movement then you are further to the right than the evil one who reckoned there was no such thing as society.

They, like the tories think that the working class people of this country are there to make sure they and theirs are well catered for, then the rest of us can make the best of what is left.

  14. ..You sound like you are from England...I presume.....

...We in the US know that socialism does not work and socialism is just one small step away from Communism.

...Yet many Democrats in the US think that we can take after a program that doesn't work, and isn't working....that is why in France we have student rioting in the street because they cannot get a job.....

Bottom line is nothing is free....and free health care with cost of 50% of our earned money in new taxes...NO thanks, I'll buy my own policy thank you very much!

  15. WE HOPE THE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY REALIZE IT'S FAILURES. THE TWO DEMOCRATS THAT ARE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT ARE JUST THAT.
