100 buckets of bits on the bus, 100 buckets of bits. Take one down, short it to ground. FF buckets of bits on the bus. FF buckets of bits on the bus, FF buckets of bits. Take one down, short it to ground, FE buckets of bits on the bus. I understand the "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" reference I just don't get the FF and FE stuff. Maybe 16 point number system???

  2. I think it's referring to hexadecimal.

  3. Yep, you got it, base 16, hexadecimal, 16 bit,

    Other references:

A bucket has been referred to as a temporary holding space, as in a cache.

A bus refers to an electrical pathway, as on a computer motherboard.

A bit is the smallest "bit" of computer information, I.E. a zero or one.

Short it to ground, refers to bits of information getting lost on a damaged bus.

This must have been written by a drunk computer geek!!!

    How about this one:

A byte on the platter is worth 16 bits on a bus?
