Question

my hd tv has not got hdmi input wierd i no from a hd tv

and i was going to use a DVI for my hdmi but it does not give out sound so i was hoping someone would tell me if this would work....

if i used DVI with hdmi i would get a picture but if i used the av socket to that came with the ps3 would it both work together ?

could i get sound from av socket and hdmi picture throul DVI at the same time?

You are correct.

You can use the analog audio out from your PS3 to get audio using an HDMI to DVI cable.
