they're dying out because of us causing pollution and killing where they live, also because we just kill them too. it is worng

Duh. I'm going to be a marine biologist. Just because there have been shark attacks people think that they are all these dangerous animals. There are many types of sharks that are only bottom feeders. Personally i think sharks are really cool.

I know its sad, they work hard to keep our ocean clean, and people kill them for sport, for food, or just because they think their killers

Just because of movies like Jaws and Megaladon, sharks have been portrayed as these bloodthirst villains. Back when Jaws was a 'new release' in theatres, people were scared to even stay in the theatre room. It wasn't even the actual movie, but the whole idea of swimming in the ocean and a bloodthirsty shark coming after you. Beaches lost tourism that year.

But the thing is, those were about the same time that people had just stopped fearing killer whales. Yes, Shamu was once the cold killer too. People would shoot them if they saw them near their boats or docks. But now, since they are in aquariums, and people are given a real understanding, they're protected, and everyone loves them.

That's what needs to happen with sharks. Once people have a real understanding of them, things will change. Luckily, that movie Sharkwater has helped, causing shark protests around the world, and breaking the ice for the protection of sharks.
