Will someone help me with my cartilage piercing?

I just had my cartilage pierced today at walmart and after reading some articles, im really nervous about it, and i had it done with what i think is a gun, it looked like a gun, they didnt pierce it with a needle and now im scared that i made a mistake. idk what to do and im scared its going to get infected or disfigure, help me! please?

Don't think like that, I'm sure it will be fine. Just clean it well.

I had mine done 30 mins ago by needle, and i just cleaned it with salt water, and the woman gave me some vitamins and antibiotics to clean it with.

Are you happy with yours? Because I feel mine is too high...

i did mine 8 times with the walmart piercing kit and they're healing fine, even puss is normal- give it a month

i think piercers are mad they're losing business, the needle has less chance of infection and might heal sooner, but there's nobody i've ever known to have problems using a gun

well it was a gun, but not a needle. i think that you just got it pierced with an ear ring gun, basically it was an ear ring that was shoved into your ear. it is the same way they pierce at Claire's (a little kid store). they use a post with a tiny point they goes through your ear. i got mine done by a family friend that worked at a tattoo shop, and she used a needle and it turned out fine still have it now for 2 years. i had my ear lobes done with just an ear ring and its fine too.    just keep it clean and use ear piercing solution that you can find at a mall or tattoo shop. well it's already pierced so there's nothing you can do about it but try to keep it extremely clean. Soak it in a sea salt and water solution in the morning and at night- there's a product in hot topic called H2Ocean, specifically for piercings. You're not the only one who had it done with a gun, other's have before and it's turned out fine.

omg .. don't listen to anyone that says don't get a gun because speaking to a doctor and he said that the cartilage is not a safe piercing needle or gun which means if your worrieid about shattering your cartilage just don't get it done .. that's why i got mine done with a gun . make sure the person piercing your ear knows what they are doing . if it was done right now it's up to you to not get your ear infected the gun would cause an infection in the next like 3 days to a week so you would know clean it alot

i got mine done last week and i got mine done at claires with a gone mine is perfect because i clean it alot lol you can't be to safe make sure you follow your piercers instructions and basic cleaning instructions like for me it is

1. put the antiseptic on a cotton swap

2. make sure your earing is in the saftey lock ( where it clicks ) not squeezing your ear

3. slide the earring in and out of your ear

4. turn the earring around and around ( sounds painful but if you do it right it wont)

5. clean it 2-3 times a day at the least

6. ENJOY YOUR PIERCING !!!!

Got mine done last night and it was with a gun as well. it hurts a tiny bit but not much, just dont sleep on it
