Will someone please Tell me WHY?????

Why is it that the questions asked here that really mean absolutely NOTHING get a million answers, and those asked by people who want genuine answers are largely disregarded??

It's more fun to answer silly questions.

The questions that require genuine answers are often too difficult to give an answer to, or perhaps less people know the answers.

The questions that mean nothing are simple.

1) Lack of education.

2) If the answer; regardless to how accurate it is, does not fit into the 'mind set' of the individual asking the question, its bye, bye time.

3) What do you expect from morons?

Because people have more wasteful knowledge than useful.

How many of the people here do you seriously expect to have full knowledge of what questions they are looking at?

0.003%? I doubt even that.

Besides, people know that even when they answer genuinely, they very rarely get points for best answer. True, many do, but majority do not. Of course, that's my experience, and it might vary for everyone.

Because for most people it is a lot easier to be silly than it is to be serious.  Lets face it, most people are here for the lulz and that is to be expected.  It's also part of the fun of Y!A.  

Most really serious questions I've seen get a few serious answers.  

There are also plenty of people who post what they THINK are serious questions, but they're really not.  For example, 99% of the questions that start with "EVOLUTIONISTS.. how does your "theory" explain..."  

The good news is, there are plenty of people on here who know what they're talking about.  The best thing you can do is keep contributing.  You'll eventually start to notice people who are giving you the types of answers you want to get.  Add them as a contact and you'll be able to see their Q&A and starred questions.  If they add you as a contact, they will see your Q&A and are thus more likely to answer your questions.

The other ones make me think too hard, and chances are if it is a question I actually want to answer that's serious people thumbs down me, and I have no shot at best answer.
