as a Katrina "DO OVER " No matter how many Republican conventions get canceled. They try to fake concern, but they just don't get it, there is no "DO OVER" They already blew it. Does anyone else agree? Did you know during the Katrina storm Bush flew out to Arizona to eat-cake with McCain on his birthday . .they both looked so foolish, now they want a do-over. Who else agrees with me?

  1. i do

  2. bush didn't totally ignore katrina. he sent millions to help his corporate buddies along the coast.

  3. Oh lord more ignorance... :/ you do realize that it is the State governments responsibility to ask for federal assistance and that the federal government (including FEMA as that is a federal entity) cannot go into a state to help unless asked by the governor... :/

  4. Bear in mind that McCain has really got to play this one up.

Where was Bush during Katrina?  Oh, yes...that's right.  He was in Arizona handing John McCain a birthday cake during a photo op.

  5. ***yawn****it isn't up to the federal government to rescue states unless they are asked to. katrina was a failure on part of the lib mayor and lib governor. the states that were hit just as hard did just fine with republican governors. give it a break.

  6. Hopefully people will see through it.

However judging from a cross section of mentalities, on this forum, it seems that there are a h**l of a lot of very thoughtless, selfish, and spiritually ugly people about, who wouldn't care less about someone else's suffering.

I didn't know about Bush's birthday bash with McCain, but it sounds  par for the course.

Just an aside, there are a majority of people throughout the world that find it incredible that a President and party who have blatantly stolen from their own country, can even be considered for election.

  7. Since when is it the responsibility of 1 senator to stop mother nature? Or 1 President for that matter? FEMA is responsible for natural disasters, it was there s***w up. Where was Obama during Katrina?

  8. Judging from the ignorant answers here you have your work cut out for you.  Yes I agree with you.  It is really sickening listening to these Republicans turning this into an issue now that they need to be re-elected.  The only problem is with Rush Limbaugh churning out his hate msg's every day, that seems to be all people hear. But if they really are sincere (lol) they can always go down into the 9th ward and clean up all the mess and maybe even build a few hundred houses for low income people to live in.  But if you notice they are all talk and no action.  It's funny how people fall for it.

  9. "Will someone please tell Bush/Cheney, McCain/ Palin that there is no such a thing as" a smart Liberal.  No they already know that as does most of the world, get on board.

  10. yeah the people of NO stood up and elected a republican governor.i think they knew who to blame.

  11. And how does that thinking square with the fact that at the time of Katrina, both the Mayor and the Governor were Democrats. There's plenty of blame to pass around, not just on one group.

  12. The FEDERAL government (Bush, etc) can't step into a state to help until the Governor asks for help. This is one issue you libs can try all you want to blame on Bush but it is pathetic. Also McCain was not the president at all so please explain how McCain has any fault at all with Katrina??????????

  13. When you p**s off God, you should expect something to come back and haunt you. God doesn't do Do Overs, He only reeks vengeance. The party of Lincoln and Reagan is in serious trouble.
