  1. Adoption processes remain roughly the same everywhere and start with a homestudy?

Were you looking for any specific aspect?

ETA: Yes, the process is roughly the same. Homestudy, "matching", relinquishment by birthparent, finalization by judge. Yes, there are differences in various aspects but the process is similar.

  6. States are roughly the same.  It depends on what you want to adopt, a caucasian infant- you need to go to a private adoption agency and pay them 10-20K $.  If you want an older child, say 5 or 6 contact your local public childwelfare agency.  It should be on the DCF site.  The process is You have to go through training, usually about 10 weeks, you have to then have a homestudy done and then you get matched.  If you adopt a child who the state finds hard to place, then the child may even qualify for subsidy which can be anywhere from 200-800$ per month

  7. Contact the Massachusetts State Bar Association, of

Lawyers, in the Capitol City of that State. You have a Right

to Request a Copy of the Legal Aspects on the Process

of Adoption Laws for that State.

Any law library, has that information, and every lawyer has

those law books...and you might be able to get a local

public librarian, to request that a law book be sent there so

you can read it, and they can also help you obtain that

information.  They are being paid to obtain information

like that too....        (Good Luck,  from Too Funny).
