well basically they ask to find the value of x,y and z... It is a circle with a triangle in the middle with each point touching the circle. Now the right lower part of the triangle has a measure of 52 degrees the x is in the triangle at the top and the y is outside the circle on the left and z to the right also to the outside... and there is another 130 degrees at the bottom arc.how do i go about this what steps can i use to figure this out?

  1. Each angle of the triangle represents an inscribed angle. The angle of the triangle "cuts" an arc out of the circle, and the rule is that the angle is half the measure of the arc, or the arc is twice as big as the angle.

If I understand your description correctly...

the angle of 52 degrees cuts arc y. Arc y has to be twice as big, so (2)(52) = 104 degrees

the arc of 130 degrees is cut by arc marked by x, so x is half of 130...(1/2)(130) = 65 degrees

    an entire circle must equal 360 degrees...it has been cut into three arcs, and two of them are known...so 360 - (104 + 130) = 360 - 234 = 126 degrees for z

    Hope that helps!
