  1. Governors don't do foreign affairs. It's not what they do. McCain has tremendous Foreign Affairs experience, though, so please don't worry on that account.

  2. Definition of Executive

    1. a person or group of persons having administrative or supervisory authority in an organization.

    2. the person or persons in whom the supreme executive power of a government is vested.

    3. the executive branch of a government.

The executive is the chief of an organization, the peron resposible for making day to day decisions.

You could be and executive if you have ever run a small business like a corner store. You are an executive if you are the CEO of a large business. You are an executive if you are the Mayor of a city (like Sarah Palin was). You are definately an executive if you are a Governor of a state of 700,000 people and a 30 billion dollar economy.

You have no executive experience if all you have ever done is give speeches for 8 years in the Illinois Senate and voted present. Another one year in the US giving speeches without even chairing a single comitee hearing is also not executive experience.

You have foreign policy experience if you have successfully completed a multi billion dollar pipeline with another country... Canada.

  3. 6 years as mayor  of a small city in Alaska.   1 yr 9mo as gov of Alaska.

Alaskas gov does have to deal with Canada alot.  One example was a deal where British Petroleum and Conoco were trying to get a gas pipeline deal which ran partly in Alaska and partly in Canada.

Also Russia is right there and there are sometimes conflicts over the fishing industry between them (and of course canada).

So whiel her experience isnt the same as being President its at least SOME experience in actual application instead of just committees.

  4. Ma Keattle was Mayor of Alaska's largest town known for Meth problems. Oh I forgot, she's a self-proclaimed: "Soccer Mom".

  5. MRS. Sarah Pulin has fought here own party took down a republican governor that did nothing but good ole boy politics!she reformed oil drilling and put in place a system of checks to prevent accidents such as exxon valdez! she followed this up by seeing it threw in washington personally! And to tell the truth no foreign experience but in my gut i trust here, she seems gen ion

  6. nothing...she was a journalist.....she will be nothing more than a puppet/expensive secretary for Mccain

  7. As Governor she has had some foreign dealings, so is not completely in the dark.

This is less than half of what was listed in the article linked below.

"Palin has worked to expand partnerships with Alaska companies overseas. During her first year in office, Alaska exported to 100 foreign destinations exports, reaching $3.9 billion worth of exports, an annual increase of roughly 3 percent. This marked the second highest export level in Alaskan history.

Governor Palin has also hosted delegations from all over the world including a delegation of Chinese officials to observe the delivery of rural health care in Alaska and Canadian officials to promote economic cooperation and trade."

  8. The executive experience is Mayor (albeit of a pretty small town) and Governor.   Foreign policy experience isn't something she has a lot of in all honesty.

  9. About as much as Obama.....so not much, but at least she is only going to be VP and not President.
