I'm working on a huge project for school. It's basically a portfolio. I would like it to be nice looking. I would like the images to have a photo paper like print. I have a little over a 100 images to print and have loads of card stock. Photo paper is expensive so I'm looking for an alernative.

My question is, will spraying card stock with high gloss finish and then printing on it, give photo paper like results?

Thank you for time and you help!

  1. I would print the pictures first then try the spraying.

  2. The ink probably will not adhere to the high gloss finish and you might gunk up your printer that way. You could spray it after printing if you are careful to keep it even so the spray marks are not obvious. Keep in mind if you are doing it on an inkjet printer it will cause the ink to bleed. Hopefully you have access to a color laser printer.

The only other think I can suggest is taking them to get gloss laminated on one or two side (staples can do this) or using the clear sheet protectors (if they are 8.5 x 11).
