Will spring ever come? What are your thoughts on the extended winter?

In Northern Wisconsin/Mid Minnesota region, it is snowing today. It rained then it turned into snow friday night and it's continued on this cold streak. I hear people on the street and at work joke about Global Warming now. Is this cold harsh winter and cold spring making people realize GW is a hoax?

What are some thoughts?

It was in the 80's here yesterday, today should be quite warm too!  Right now in coastal Northern California we generally  range between the 40's to the high 80's  with periodic evening freezes (bad news for the wine industry).

Take a look at the long term (100 plus years) records for your area.  You'll see that you're not outside of your local seasonal temperature range.

Global temperatures are down also.  

These AGW people seem very sure of themselves.  If the earth is warming, that's scientific evidence.  If it's cooling, that's just an anomaly.

Lets just say that in San Diego the past few days have been in the mid-90's. Now that is not common for a mile from the coast! Our summer may have come early. It's not global warming, it's "global climate change." Climates will be different in different parts of the planet. Some places may get cooler. But the "global warming" phenomenon is happening. I mean, everywhere is changing. I go backpacking every year in the Sierra's - have been since I was five. Water levels have shrunk and many species are starting to wither from the climate changing. Even if this "global warming" isn't our fault (which it is), it's still happening, and there will be changes. I just hope we can figure out what to do with our resources, which are diminishing.. I don't want to be alive for the next big war! It's been happening for the past twenty years! We're just now catching onto it. :) It's the age of science!

I know it's hard to believe, but northern Wisconsin and mid-Minnesota are a very small part of the planet.  For the planet as a whole, spring is coming earlier every year because of global warming.

You'll have to learn the difference between weather and climate someday.  We can only stay in denial for so long.
