Will sprinkling baking soda on the carpet and vacuuming it help clean the cats smell on the carpet?

Not sure what kind of cat smell your referring to, I have 2 outdoor and indoor cats and they don't smell. However our dog is the smelly one. I use baking soda all the time on our carpet I let it set for a couple of minutes before I vacuum it all up!!! It also makes our vacuum cleaner bag smell fresh instead of stale air.

use a pet deodorizer cleaner its specifically make for that i use simply solutions it works great on pet odors i get it at petsmart and it has a nice fragrance.

Add 1/2 water 1/2 lysol or pinsol in a sprat bottle sprat carpets let dry then the next day sprinkle baking soda then vaccume!

Yes but make sure you vacuum up ALL of the baking soda.
