  1. Yes sir they will! (and already have!)...

Did ya know that you can buy a Diesel engine vehicle and have it converted to run on vegetable oil?... It's true! The conversion costs will run anywhere from 400-800 U.S. dollars depending upon who ya know... heck, ya might even find some folks who would do it for cheaper just to have the experience of doing so. Many mechanics are starting to expand their horizons, you'll be surprised at how many will be willing to help you! The oil for the car can be found for FREE at pretty much any restaurant with a fryer! You MUST treat the oil first through a series of filtering processes, but once you get your filter lab set up and running, it'll be easy as pie and you'll have plenty of "fuel" for reserves! Let's all stick it to the man and get on the conversion process! Just imagine it, no more giving soooooo much money to the oil companies or paying outrageous fuel taxes to the government! We win, they lose! YAY!

  2. yes, once people wake up to the realities of global warming. there are small outfits who have begun to convert cars over to biofuels like vegitable oils, the only problem has been using that oil in cold climates since the oil needs to be warmed in the tank and lines so that it can flow. any car can be converted the only restriction can be the weight of the vehicle, electric cars perform better when the weight is less.

  3. This will be decided by the marketplace. It will happen just because money is a good motivator.

  4. Converting a vehicle from one power source to another is far too costly to be practicle.  It would be cheaper to replace the vehicle.  The labor of pulling an engine, pulling the exhaust, changing cooling packages, replacing it with an electric motor, installing the batteries, and the required wiring would be more expensive than buying a new or used hybrid or electric car.  Also, you won't be raising the price of your vehicle by doing this, since it is already a used car.

  5. NOPE!  Any conversion would cost more than replacing the whole thing to begin with.

  6. If we rely strictly on "market forces" definitely not. We know we need to get off of oil but I still see lots of brand spanking new SUV's and pickups getting 14 or 15 MPG rather than something

that gets 30 or 35 or better.

  7. No the oil kings will make sure it does not. Like they have always done. We should have already accomplished this but its the oil that keeps us from doing so. Oil is money & money is power. Its sad to see what the future will bring.

  8. Yes.

A gasoline burning engine can be converted to propane, natural gas, methane, alcohol for less than $2,000.  Can also be converted to hydrogen.

The engine can be replaced with an electric engine.

    Diesel can run on bio-diesel.
