Will standard shipping really take 7-14 days or is there a chance my order will arrive earlier?

I ordered a book on Friday and recieved an email that the book was shipped out on Monday (July 21st). In the email, it was stated that Standard Shipping takes 7-14 days for the order to arrive and in some extreme cases, a month. I am leaving on vacation on Friday night and was hoping to be able to bring this book with me. Also, both the seller and I live in the USA.

That's just an estimation to keep them safe. I have ordered many things online and they give me a date adout two weeks away and I have always gotten them 5-6 days later. So, if it was shipped on the 21st you should get it by friday unless something happened or they live in maine and you in Cali.
