My boyfriend is having some reallly bad problems with his back and groin. Our Dr. just keeps handing him scripts for more pain pills that dont work. I suggueted him try swimming to help relax the mussels....would this be a good idea. it would be a warm, indoor pool so that the mussels wont contract and more if he swam in a cooler pool..

what can he do?

  1. i would suggest going to a massage therapist or orthopedic doctor or physical therapist  ...  without knowing the cause of the pain it is hard to tell if it will help ...  swimming is great if he is just needing to strengthen core muscles to compensate for something in his back, but if he has a pinched nerve or something, then he will need specific exercises to relieve pressure and stuff ...

can you tell us when the pain started or if he knows why?

  2. heating pad will work for relaxing muscles but the pool will relieve the pressure.  it will make the weight go away that makes it worse. good luck!

  3. Forget about the pills thats what all the english doctors say! becasue they dont know anythign else apart from their god d**n pills!

Yes swimming will DEFENATLY help! Do tell him to go!

    It helped me
