  1. Heck yeah. Your times should improve dramatically if you do.

  2. It is very helpful, this is coming from a year around swimmer. Your muscles will stay toned and you will stay in great shape. You will improve a lot more because you never have to get back into shape. I think it's very worthwhile!

    Good Luck!

    Keep Swimming!

  3. Yes, but only if your swim in a heated pool.

  4. Definately, a year round training program will benefit the most.

If you only swim per summer you loose the "feel of the water".  With the yearly training you'll be hitting goal times like crazy.  I swim and something usually comes up, preventing me from swimming long course during the summer.  All my team mates improve a lot and I had to put in a lot of effort to just CATCH UP with them.

Swim year round and you will be a great swimmer.

  5. i also swim in the summer only (and gonna stay that way) but it will help if you swim in the winter.

  6. It will make you a much better swimmer. If you only swim in the summer it's like you're starting over again every year.
