  1. yes! Go for it!

  2. In a word, yes, but it really depends on a lot of factors, mainly how good your teacher is and how much work you put into it.  After taking AP Lang in my junior year of high school, I got an 800 on the reading section of the SAT, and I attribute a lot of that to this single course.  You do a lot of reading and writing and learning how to take reading tests, and that can go a long way with SAT preparation.  However, nothing is a substitute for specifically preparing for the SAT (like with an SAT test prep book or something).

  3. Yes! It will help you be able to write essays and become a better writer and reader. It will be worth it in the long run for your score and post highschool plans.

  4. Of course!!!

  5. it really helps you in how to understand the way the writer is getting his point of view across, and how to write a paper that discusses these techniques, it didn't really help with writing an personal essay, but if the SAT essay is a persuasion, then it will help a bunch, so yeah , take the SAT before the class and the SAT after, you will definitely see an improvement.

  6. my answer is no. i took AP English Lang., but i had a teacher who didn't teach much. so the entire year was basically wasted, and it didn't help me in SAT or anything. so it really depends on if you have a good teacher or not. with a good teacher, the class would improve your SAT scores.

the Eng. Lang. AP exam is easier than the SAT. the reading part on the AP exam is so much easier than the SAT reading and you get more time to write essays on the AP exam.
