  1. A fiber supplement will merely make you regular.  But, with all supplements, you should ask an M.D. before long term use.  I don't know your medical history and don't know the complications long term fiber supplementation can cause in your body.  Also, why take a fiber supplement when you can get so much fiber from whole wheat bread.  When visiting your doctor, he might recommend sticking to a raw source of fiber.

  2. No. You'll p**p regularly! Hope thats what youre going for!

  3. as Americans we do not get enough  fiber in our diets we should consume more whole grains, rye, oats, wheat, wheat germ, flax seed(ground) eating the right foods you won"t have to take fiber pills, you might want to cleanse your body  mix phylum husk with water you can find these things at the health food store

  4. The answer depends on how much fiber and what type of fiber it is, but typically the answer is no. Ultimately, you need at least a minimum amount of soluble fiber in your diet to start with (25 g is the RDA for dietary fiber), but too much can make your stools too runny.

There are a few types of fibers that you should not take long term (and typically there's a warning on the bottle)... the main ones are Senna and Cascara Sagrada. Basically with the "high-powered fibers", your body can get used to them to the point where you need to take those in order to have a BM.

However, if it's just regular fibers (Psyllium Husks or general food items), there shouldn't be any real risk of that at all. Good luck!
