Will tank bred clown fish host in an anemone?

Also at this site http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+1500+1114&pcatid=1114&emailconf=1114 the misbarred one is that normal or is it a different type of clown fish

  1. Many tank-raised Clowns will want nothing to do with anemones, while some still have enough instinct to take up residence in them, or even some soft mushroom corals.  The "misbarred Clown" is merely a juvenile Amphiprion ocellaris (False Percula, Ocellaris, etc.).  As it matures, its banding will fill in.


  2. They may they may not, it is a 50/50 chance.  They odds are they have never even seen once, just depends on the fish and the anemone that you choose.  Your best bet will be a bubble tip or a long tentacle.  or even a carpet anemone, if you want to risk one of those in your tank.  

  3. Yes, they will host an anemone, and no that is not another species, it is a genetic mutation. Nothing serious, but the fish you receive Will most likely not look like that.
