Will technology ever come up with a way to video record your dreams while you sleep?

the evil empire did it in "Barb Wire", so if its in a movie, it must be true - not. however in "The Cell" Jennifer Lopez was a therapist that used virtual reality/electronic connection to share dream experiences with a subject, and that is more plausible but still a long way off.

Ever see those inkblot tests, called Rorschat, horseshít, or something like that, where a person is asked what they see?  Or trying to see shapes in a cloud?  It isn't like there's really anything there.  It's just a splotch and the mind tries to make something out of it that isn't really there.  Same with dreams.  They're just disjointed electrical signals going through your brain, and your brain is trying to make some kind of sense out of it.  Which is why some dreams are truly bizarre and weird!  If you tried to record such stuff, it would probably look more like random static when played back.
