The little girl that actually sung the song is very pretty indeed.

Granted, she doesn't look like a perfect china doll however she does look beautiful regardless.

I hope she does not have issues about being deemed not 'perfect' enough to appear on television. She should know that millions of people were mesmerised by her angelic voice.

This is a minor one adleast the both will be alive !

I know facts from the stories from Aushwitz there the kids often had lolipos given by Germans to so they wont look so scary in the photographs they given children lolipops and killed them on the spot then the same lolipos were given to another group !

Children worked near the places their parents were killed often the bodies just lied there !!

So the child worked the entire day near the corpses of its mum and dad of course if they werent seperated earlier ! If a child was weak was just shoot !.

The same in soviet Gulags and in China do you think totalitarian regimes care about it and you see China has money so NO it wont make China look bad they dont care !

if that little kid gonna get to much attention The chinese goverment will kill her thats all ! So no one will get to the truth !

How the Child feels well she's gonna snap once and either will be participating in what the goverment doesor maybe she will be a criminal who cares ! The Chinesse officials really dont care !

no, she seems smart enough to know that beauty is only skin deep.  she sounds like a well educated kid and she loves opera.  in the end the parents are the one's who should help her be her best and use this as another stepping stone in life. the chinese can be too perfectionists at time so if she is taught not to mind that she'll be fine.  as for the one who lipsynched , well she definetely will suffer considering that everyone will remember her as the girl who did not have the voice but the looks (nationally and worldwide), which I dont think is flattering. kinda like "a blond with the pretty looks but dumb head" remark, not nice.

i just saw this story and i think is TERRIBLE that china is so insecure about themselves, and their "image" that they were ashmed to show such a talented young girl to the world.

i mean do they REALLY think having a pretty little girl sing a song is going to make the rest of the world view them as any better than we already do? all it did was make them look a hellova lot worse.

that is just one more reason the olympics shouldn't have been there. they are far too unstable still, even if it is just the insecurities of the nation.

it really is discusting. she gets to grow up knowing she was the girl who couldnt sing at the olympics because even at the age of 7, she was too ugly and her country was ashamed to show her. so stupid.

Hopefully not, now that the story has leaked. If it hadn't leaked, yes, she would certainly have been emotionally scarred for life. As it is, i'm hoping this will be an eye opener to everyone that every child is beautiful...i'm so glad the focus is now more on her flawless voice than on her teeth, which btw, are cute not crooked.
