  1. Great question indeed it would be legendary for those 3 to be back in the fold for india winning the world cup for india but realistically their slow movers in the field and some of these youngsters have some potentiall. e.g raina r.sharma, kolhi, sreesanth(don't know y their has been a mention of him 4 ages), i.sharma, dhoni captaining it, btw i reallllly h8 gambhir as most of his runs are gotten horribly

  2. No chance.iam not missing them.

  3. don't think so,wish that happens...and know what?

i feel sorry for gangu bhai, lol.

Sachin will still make it to the team,i doubt whether Rahul and Sourav can do it.

And Sachin's above them, they can't ignore him,he will be given some chances,i am sure.

Both Sourav and Dravid are the ones more at risk.

  4. I am also very interested to watch it happen. But if you analyze deeply the possibility of all three playing together is very less. They will have to be in good form also at the same time they would have to maintain a good fitness. This is a big concern. Also the entry of youngsters who are doing a great job at the moment is another cause of concern.

  5. Almost No except Sachin.

  6. they can play together if they show their good performence in test  it whould be good to watch sachin ,ganguly as openers

  7. Hope that will happen..We really miss them..

  8. Extremely unlikely. May be in IPL, but not in ODIs. First, they are past their prime years, they cannot perform consistently now. Secondly, the young entrants are quite good and getting results. Thirdly, they are not physically as fit as demanded by todays ODIs.

Its true, we miss them. But we miss several other great talents in almost all the games. That is how life is. We must accept it.

  9. Chances are bleak, except in some computer games.

Tendulkar will be in the ODI team for a couple more years, provided he remains fit. Ganguly, with the youngsters lining up to take a place in the team, It is highly unlike Ganguly get another chance in ODIs. Dravid was never thought as a good ODI player at the beginning of his career, but he adapted to it quite well. The prospects of Dravid playing another ODI match are almost none.

If Sachin Tendulkar is fit, he will find a (or his) place in the team.

  10. In test match cricket, none of them appear to be good enough. Sachin, Dravid, Sourav and Laxman should be removed.

In ODI cricket, Sachin has a lot of potential still. He alone should be played amongst the above four.

There is no way they can play a match together.

  11. No chance. They can play in their next lifetime if at all they have.

These selectors are not at all considering them & giving a blind eye towards them. Even their age is a problem & now a days youngsters are given more preference than the oldies. No doubt Old is Gold, but that doesn't fit here in Indian cricket at least now.

  12. NO. only sachin will be there till 2011 WC

  13. I miss these guys too. But I think their time is over. The players who will make headlines in Indian cricket will be Dhoni, Raina, Sehwag and RP Singh.

Thanks for all your entertaining cricket guys. We'll miss you.

  14. I miss them too! :( Especially Rahul Dravid! They made India an invincible team in their own way. I WISH they play together sometime soon.

  15. we want sachin

    we want the wall

    we want the bengal tiger

but i dont think its possible to see all of them to gether in odi's

i love watching odi's with sachin and ganguly as openers...,

since i have been watching cricket sachin, and sourav are the opening pair. and dravid is no.3

i can't imagine the indian team without sachin, ganguly, dravid...

there is no replacement for sachin in world cricket

no replacement for dravid's defence, ganguly's offside shots and frontfoot sixers...

  16. Look guys..............with these selectors even people like dhoni and yuvraj will be considered old and kicked out

i am missing them but whats the point

guys whether they played well now or not they are considered as the danger men by many even now

players like rahul, sachin and saurav should get into domestic cricket for sumtime so that they can look to improve their shots

if they plasy a few ranji matches and win sum for their teams then maybe they will be considered

I noticed in one of the answers that sumone has mentioned tht dravid was never considered to be a ODI player

well let me tell you sumthin dravid has a better record of centuries and half- centuries in ODIs than tests

and if these guys are so gr8 then tell them to play cricket with the ethn ic feel and the elegance of the seniors

if sachin is good for ODIs then so are saurav and rahul

    come on guys

age shouldn't be the bar here

sanath jausurya is given a chance even though he has passed 35 mark

then why not do tht now

there is lot of politics in cricket now wihich should be removed automatically we will see ouyr heroes playing

  17. No, I don't see even the faintest hope of  watching the big 3 playing an ODI match together in the future. Those great moments of watching Little Master, Bengal Tiger, and the Great Wall in action has been relegated to the past, and now, all that we can do is cherish those good memories.

Many of us actually do miss them, but Ganguly and Dravid absolutely have no chances to make it to the ODI squad ever again, especially with so many youngsters like Raina, Badrinath, and Kohli performing so well. Ganguly and Dravid's recent poor form  in the Sri Lanka test series is likely to be the final nail in the coffins of their ODI careers, as now, after such a dismal performance, their names wouldn't even strike the minds of the selectors. Sachin, though had an equally disappointing series, is over and above everybody else, and that's why he would be back in both forms of the game as soon as he attains full fitness.

Now, I doubt whether Ganguly would even find a place in the test squad or not- is always the one who has a sword hanging above his head. being the senior whom everybody is most willing to axe, he couldn't have afforded such a miserable performance. Dravid, having a better test batting record behind him is at comparatively less risk.  Now, I only wish that Dada ends his colourful career on a positive note.
