  1. yes they will help you get your GED they paid for my husbands before basic ... he's in the army

  2. Yes, absolutely.  Many recruiters will do all they can to assist you in getting your GED.  If you get in as a drop-out you'll get plenty of assistance and encouragement with getting your GED while on active duty.

  3. Yea..check out this article and then call a recruiter if interested. This is a brand new program, so there may not be a lot of info on it but it sounds like it is right up your ally. It is a new program through the army that puts high school drop outs through a 4 week course prior to basic training. It will get you either a GED or diploma. After you finish up the 4 weeks, you go straight to basic.

  4. You will need your GED to join.  Your neighborhood recruiter can probably help by directing you to information on the subject, but that is about it.  Frankly, if you are unable to manage a GED on your own, they don't want you.

  5. I just joined the army this Aug but will get shipped this Sept. I have 4 years college but ddnt graduate and theyre offering me 40,000$ bonus  if i join... so i did :) If u are gona join d army with education background even if highschool.. they will give u money for that coz that means u have brains and they want u!

And if u read the articles in army... the US army wants to recruit people with GED and if possible college degrees or some college. they call them the top of the line recruit compared to pips with no GED or college. Most of time they noticed that people with no GED or college end up failing the bct or they resign b4 they even finish their 2 year term or something. But they also noticed that people with no GED gets promoted faster... hmm weird.. prolly coz they are more aggressive. So in short pips with GED and college lasts longer and finishes the bct and their contracts compared to non GED holders. And you get Bonus for having GED and College.

And also! you will get rank faster with ur highschool diploma backing you up. You wont go far in rank in the army without having GED and some college yeah. When i start to join ill be a Specialist right away.. anyway coz im gona be a linguist lol so i have my special skills but its a boring job so ill prolly go Ranger.. they give another 30,000 to 40,000 bonus just for joining ranger.
