The only thing they are really riding on is momentum.  The fact that they made it to the playoffs last year and gave the Celtics a run for their money.  But they havent really aquired anyone to help the team better itself, but we'll see.  No CHildress too will hurt some.

They should be.  The internal growth potential on that team is unbelievable.  Losing Childress hurts, but the other guys are still getting better.

No they wont because Miami  will make the playoffs and so will Milwaukee i think the Hawks will be the # 9 seed .

I think they could be better if Al Horford continues to improve. And Marvin Williams gets better lives up to being drafted ahead of CP3 and Deron Williams. Acie Law IV (or V) had a dismal rookie season but he should get better he had a good summer league. Of course Josh Smith will have a good year. Their such a young team that they can get better just by gaining experience and playing together. Mike Bibby will have more time to adjust at the PG position. Joe Johnson is coming off an all star year. I don't know anyone else but I think they have enough to compete for the lower level playoff spot. They certainly didn't do anything to improve the team through roster changes but I bet their hoping the team's youth improves and they just have more confidence having taken the defending Champs to seven games in a playoff series
