Will the Belgium buy-out of Budweiser improve the taste of the beer?

The Czech version of Budweiser is so much better than the awful tasting American version. Will the Belgians improve the tastes of Budweiser here in The States by using the Czech formula or do they intend to stick with the American formula?

  1. First of all the Belgians do not own the Czech brewer so no they will not reformulate with it.

    2. They will not reformulate period. The beer is the largest name in beer in the US with the entire Bud line dominating the market.

    3. I agree with anyone that says American Bud lacks flavor. But I strongly disagree when they say it tastes bad. It has a clean flavor with subtle notes only trained and highly skilled beer drinkers can enjoy. The masses seems to agree with their dollar vote.  The average American beer drinker thinks beers such as Becks, Stella Artios, Heineken, and Corona are great beers. Yet outside of just a hint of malt and a hint of hop flavor they are the same beer as American Bud.

This is the problem with InBev.

  2. InBev SWEARS that everything EVERYTHING will remain the same -

(they are lying through their teeth you watch)

So yes, as far as what we know now, Busch's recipe will remain the same.

  3. Americans hate change of any kind even for the better so they will reject any alterations in the recipe.

Look at how Americans took to the metric system.

It be far easier to learn and use but we would much rather stick with our archaic system and have to learn both metric and the traditional system rather then just switching over to the more efficient system.

  4. I don't think you can improve the taste of Bud.   There is no taste.  It's c**p beer.

  5. No, but the puke will still smell the same.

  6. I'm not aware of InBev altering the taste of Budweiser. If it is stated in the contract then it's a possibility. However, it is highly unlikely the company will change the taste of or how the beer is brewed.

  7. They better stick with the American version or they will have a lot of ANGRY Bud drinkers!

  8. they will keep it the same and my money will go overseas yet again

  9. Hopefully!

    .

  10. i would think the taste will remain the same. the only change is who signs the checks. i don't think a lot more is going to be different.  i like sierra nevada pale ale anyway.

  11. They will likely stay with the American version.  Bud Light has almost 50% of the light beer market in the US.  I've talked to many bartenders and they said its the leader by far.

Agree that the Czech version is good.
