As much as i hate to say it, i think the Braves need to get rid of Chipper while he is hot. Dont get me wrong Chipper is my favorite players but honestly he doesnt have much left.

they didnt pay that much money for him to get traded

they were looking for a first baseman for a long time

and they got a great one

Difficult to say. A team will need a first baseman. They must be willing to absorb his contract. They will want to know if he will resign, etc. He is good, but not great. Players today are so overrated. They make so much money. He will contribute to a team, but a team should not break the bank or unload their best minor league players for him. I think he will be traded, but do not know who.

I could see him going to the Angels, probably for Kotchman and a few prospects. The Angels are lacking sufficient protection for Vlad and Tex could provide that. Angels have a good shot at going to the WS so I wouldn't doubt them trying for Mark.

The Braves are toast. I thought they might make a run but getting pounded by the Nats at home is a sign they are toasted and need to start thinking about next year.

It sounds like he will be traded somewhere. I'm not sure what teams are interested in him. I've heard teams like the Yankees.

Yes they will. They're not going to contend this year and I don't think they are willing to try to resign him.

To who is a much harder to tell. A lot of teams could use him. There have been talks with the Red Sox about Youkilis and Craig Hansen but those talks have been shot down. So there are no serious offers yet but I think he's going to leave town.
