Will the Brewers be able to catch the Cubs?

I grew up as a Brewers fan (now I live in Florida for many years and I have taken a liking to the Marlins and Rays) but I still cheer for the Brewers. But the Cubs seem so d**n good now. Everyone (except true Cubs fans) predicted them to fall off a bit after the All-Star break. But they have done just the opposite of that. They've surged. h**l, they might be playing the best baseball in the entire major leagues. Come to think of it, they are. But I still hope the Brewers can get at least a wild card spot. Sheets and Sabathia will be tough to beat in the playoffs if they make it there.

Cubs are taking the division. Brewers are taking the wildcard. Cubs offense is too strong and their rotation, even compared to the Brewers, is too good. CC, Sheets, and Parra are good, but can't match up with Zamby, Harden, and the surprise Dempster. Cubs are the team to beat in the NL now.

And to the idiot that's saying the White Sox are better, do YOU watch baseball? Twins got rid of Santana and Hunter, two superstars on their team, and are STILL only 1 game behind the Sox. Had it not been for Pierzynski's knowledge and the bad-call of the umpire, you probably would've been swept by the Rays at the Cell. Cubs have the best record in the majors. They're the hottest team in baseball, winning the past 8 consecutive series against some solid teams. Sweeping the Brewers in Milwaukee was the start of it, and since then, they've been on a tear. Still think they're not the best team? Prove me wrong. But keep personal opinion out of it. Give me stats that show why the Sox are better.

AND.. weak teams in the NL central?  That's the dumbest thing you've said. The Sox and Twins are the only teams with winning records in the AL Central. Cubs, Brewers, Cards, and Astros are all above .500 right now.  Please, for your sake, do some research before you make some asinine statements like that ENTIRE post.

No Sabathia and Sheets good combo but cant match Haren, Zambrano, and Dempster. 5 games out of today wont catch up!

the cubs ARE NOT playing the best baseball in the major leagues right now. do you know ANYTHING about baseball????? have you followed any of the teams in the cubs division? they all SUCK, its not very hard to beat teams that suck. so of course they look good when they are playing teams that dont have skills.

now take a look at the White Sox. they are up against the best teams in BOTH the american AND national leagues and ARE STILL #1. do you think the cubs could beat teams such as the Rays or the twins?? i think not. but the Sox did.

which is why you will not see the cubs in the world series. once they are up against teams that are actually GOOD, they are gonna fail miserably.

they play 6 more games against eachother this season.

and the brewers have a way easier schedule
